1. Pre-operation Inspection
– Check that hydraulic connections are secure and there are no oil leaks; inspect the chisel and bolts for looseness and check whether seals are damaged.
– Start the excavator and let it idle for 5 minutes to preheat the hydraulic oil. Wait until the oil temperature rises above 40°C before starting work.
– Confirm that the hydraulic breaker matches the excavator. Overloading is strictly prohibited.
2. Operating Guidelines During Work
– The chisel should be vertical and in close contact with the surface of the material being broken. Do not strike in the air (chisel hitting without contact) to avoid damage to the piston and cylinder.
– Do not strike for too long at one time (≤30 seconds). If the material cannot be broken, adjust the striking position to prevent the hydraulic oil from overheating.
– Do not use the hydraulic breaker to pry objects or strike sideways to avoid bending or breaking the chisel.
– Be aware of your surroundings during operation to prevent injury from flying debris. Stay away from high-voltage lines, pipelines, and other hazardous areas.
3. Post-operation Maintenance
– Turn off the excavator engine, release the hydraulic system pressure, and clean mud and debris from the surface of the chisel and cylinder.
– Check the wear of the chisel. If wear exceeds 10mm, replace it promptly. Check bolt torque and tighten any loose bolts.
– When parking, place the hydraulic breaker on the ground with the chisel pointing straight down to prevent water or debris from entering the cylinder.
